DESIGN TIP: A Quick Way to Pick the Right Size Rug Online
You look at all the pretty images but will the rug fit in your space? Let’s figure that out the easy way.
Arrange the furniture the way you want it. Decide if you want furniture legs to be ALL ON, FRONT LEGS ONLY or NO LEGS on the rug.
USE PAINTER’S TAPE to block off the space where you want to put the area rug you’re considering.
USE A TAPE MEASURE to measure the Painter’s Tape marking, Length and Width.
Look for rugs in the approximate size of your measurements. You may need to move the furniture around a bit to get the configuration you want.
It’s much easier to peel off Painter’s Tape and move a chair around than it is to return a rug.
This tip will help narrow your search and curb some overwhelm.
