Hello…

If you’ve found your way here, you probably love all things coastal, beach and nautical inspired, just like me. This blog is dedicated to those who share a passion for the relaxed feeling a coastal inspired lifestyle brings.

I’m a certified color expert passionate about furniture, fabrics, art and accessories to bring the colors, textures and elements of the beach to your home.

From around the internet, to my travel adventures and through personal relationships with crafters, designers and manufacturers, I’ll share my best finds to help you design a lifestyle you love.

As an avid DIYer I seek out ways to create coastal decorating ideas that you’ll be proud to display in your home.

Think high-end magazine knock-offs, reimagined dumpster finds and repurposed tired goods hiding out in basements and attics.

Seas Your Day combines my love of wanting to live the coastal lifestyle all year, the trials and errors of decorating our builder grade tri-level ranch home and bargain hunting to find good stuff on the cheap!

How the blog got its name

There’s a little humor in the name of this website, but honestly, “Seas Your Day” is my daily mantra.

Approach every day and do your best to live it well.

And if you can enjoy your days near the water, that’s amazing!

But if you can’t…well…I believe you can create a relaxed, comfortable, beachy lifestyle, wherever you live.

If casual, care-free and barefoot is the dress code you aspire to, welcome my new coastal friend. You’re in the right place.

Until next time…here’s to sand between your toes, a warm breeze against your cheek and a cold drink in your hand.

Steph

About this photo of me: On a beautiful July 2020 evening I scattered my husband’s remains at sea in his favorite place. As the sun faded, the muted shades of pinks and purples blurred the horizon. At one point you could not tell where Earth ended and Heaven began. It seemed an appropriate moment to finally release a smile knowing he is at rest, at peace and in good hands.
